The Protective Security team is part of Group Protective Services (GPS) and are responsible for identifying and managing security risk that have the potential to impact Westpac staff, customers, assets, and operations. Our Head of Protective Security is responsible for leading the Westpac Group Protective Security Function to support the safety and security of Westpac staff, customer and assets. This includes the development and continuous improvement of policies, standards, processes and risk assessment and management practises that align to AS/NZS ISO 31000:2018 – Risk Management and HB 167:2006 – Security Risk Management. The role is also responsible to lead the response to physical security incidents, identify root causes and develop controls to reduce the likelihood and impact of physical security risks Specific responsibilities include: Lead the team to develop best practise security risk management practises to assess the likelihood and impact of physical risk to staff, customers, Westpac events and assets including Corporate, Business Banking Centres, Branches and ATMs globally Lead the development and implementation of operational security plans to ensure the safety and security of Westpac events including the AGM, profit announcements and other celebrations Lead CEO and Group Executive personal protection program Lead staff travel security program Lead supplier governance and performance management processes of external security suppliers Lead the response to security incidents including victim support, law enforcement liaison, root cause analysis and post incident review Document and escalate non-compliance to security policies and control weaknesses identified Support the response to Group Crisis’s as required Develop and present reports, papers and presentations that clearly identify current and emerging security risks, supported by metrics and trends What’s in it for me? Significant (10 years ) law enforcement or armed forces experience Proven track record of corporate leadership experience Financial Services/ corporate experience highly desired Excellent oral and written communication skills What’s it like to work there?
