About your opportunity Permanent full-time, Location: Townsville The position plays an integral role in revenue optimisation for the HHS and supports revenue generation across service groups with the provision of expert analysis and advice to the HHS Chief Finance Officer, Director Financial Accounting, Business Services Managers, Service Group Directors, Line Managers and other key stakeholders within the HHS, ensuring compliance, control and governance in revenue operations and processes. The position also liaises with peer positions from other Hospital and Health Services, the HHS Portfolio Lead and with the Queensland Department of Health.
The Senior Revenue Analyst supports the Director of Financial Accounting in all aspects of Townsville Hospital and Health Service (HHS) revenue management. The position is responsible for delivering timely and expert analysis on own source revenue and assisting the management accounting team in the HHS forecasts of own source revenue.

The Ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following Demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking, showing attention to detail, timeliness and accuracy. Demonstrated experience in the delivery of revenue services, with a particular focus on analysis and forecasting within a large, complex organisation. Demonstrated high level experience with spread-sheeting and financial management information systems within a large complex organisation. Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to develop innovative, sensitive and practical solutions and provide advice to complex issues, together with demonstrated skills to effectively deliver key outcomes in a timely manner. Demonstrated high level communication skills, including the ability to build and sustain effective networks with colleagues and stakeholders, evidenced by collaborative decisions, effective management of conflicting priorities and achievement of successful outcomes. Demonstrated knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of State Government financial legislation and policies and the HHS's Financial Management Practice Manual. Demonstrated ability to operate as a member of a high performing team including an understanding of employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupation health and safety and ethical behaviour.
