The Role
We are looking for a Supervisor Hoisting and Shaft Assets to join us in the George Fisher Mine Maintenance Team. Reporting into the Superintendent Fixed Assets, Haulage & Operations, you will be responsible to provide visible supervision and ensure the safety, performance and improvement of the team to optimally maintain GFM Hoisting and Shaft Assets. This role would be on a 5:2;4:3 work roster (9 Day Fortnight).

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Supervising a multi-disciplinary team of fitters, electricians and boilermakers
* Compliance to the weekly schedule to achieve established KPIs and compliance with forecast costs
* Safety leadership across GFM and for the health and safety of the Hoisting and Shaft Assets team including:
* Developing a positive team culture in line with Glencore values including mentoring and coaching to build employee role competency
* Providing visible leadership and ensuring compliance to GFM policies, standards and procedures for the Hoisting and Shaft Assets team
The successful candidate will possess:
* Trade Qualification (Electrical, Fitter or Boilermaker) or Engineering qualification.
* Understanding of asset maintenance systems and processes
* Fixed Plant Maintenance experience (Hoisting systems desirable)
* Demonstrated knowledge of Risk Management, Safety systems and legislative requirements for underground mining
* At least 5 years’ Experience in leading people
