Group Payroll Officer - 9 Months Max Term | Sydney (Rhodes) or Brisbane (Strathpine) Based | Remote

We're seeking a Payroll Officer to support our team on a 9-month max term contract while a team member works on a project. While there's no guarantee of extension, there is potential based on business needs.
In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring accurate payroll processing, compliance, and stakeholder support, all while contributing to process improvements.
Your Day-to-Day...
* Payroll Processing - Accurately process payroll in line with company policies and compliance requirements.
* Payroll Administration - Complete all administrative duties related to payroll efficiently.
* Compliance Support - Ensure adherence to enterprise agreements, awards, data governance, and privacy regulations.
* Process Improvement - Identify opportunities to enhance payroll processes and recommend solutions.
* Stakeholder Management - Build trusted relationships with team members and external partners.
What You Bring...
Essential Skills & Experience :
* Previous payroll processing experience, ideally in a multi-site or multi-brand company.
* Knowledge of Australian payroll and superannuation regulations.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to provide meaningful insights.
* Proficiency in MS Office applications.
* Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
* Experience working with multiple modern awards / industrial instruments.
* Retail industry experience.
* Tertiary qualification in Business Administration or Finance (preferred).
