Senior NPI Engineer, Charger Level Product TransitionJoin Tritium, a leader in DC fast charging technology, as a Senior NPI Engineer and play a critical role in transitioning new charger designs from development to production. Based in Brisbane, this position offers the chance to work on cutting-edge power electronics, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and lead the New Product Introduction (NPI) process for our innovative DC fast chargers.We are seeking an experienced professional with a deep understanding of power electronics and manufacturing who can navigate the complexities of moving products from concept to large-scale production while meeting quality, cost, and timeline targets. This position reports directly to the Chief Engineer, R&D at Tritium and is based in Murarrie, Brisbane.As the Senior NPI Engineer for Charger Level Product Transition, you will lead the transition of new DC fast charger designs to our production facility. This role requires extensive experience in power electronics and a solid grasp of the complexities involved in transitioning products from development to full-scale production. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and meet quality, cost, and timeline targets.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with product development teams to understand design specifications and roadmaps.Lead NPI processes, including project planning, risk management, and execution.Ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness through design-to-cost strategies.Coordinate with supply chains for procurement and supplier assessments.Oversee production readiness, including facility preparation and personnel training.Implement and manage testing protocols at manufacturing sites.Monitor production ramp-ups and address manufacturing challenges.Document and communicate NPI progress and ensure seamless product transition.Stay updated on advancements in EV and charging technologies, driving innovation at Tritium.Qualifications and SkillsBachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering.8+ years of experience in product introduction, manufacturing, or related fields.Proven expertise in transitioning power electronics to production.Strong knowledge of DFM, DFA, automated testing, EOL testing, and IQC testing.Hands-on experience in manufacturing environments with problem-solving capabilities.Exceptional communication, project management, and technical skills.Proficiency in PLM/ERP systems for BOM and documentation management.Willingness to travel to manufacturing sites as needed.What We OfferCompetitive salary packageA diverse range of learning opportunities and career pathsSupportive and friendly team with regular social eventsCareer growth and developmentNovated LeasingFlexible working to accommodate your work-life balance by agreementUtilise our secure bike storage and shower facilities offered on siteDiversity, Equity & InclusionTritium is an equal opportunity employer.
