We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and dedicated secretary receptionist for our very busy Orthopaedic Practice.
Reporting to the practice manager (no weekend work), working for one Orthopaedic Surgeon.
You will need to have excellent communication skills, have the ability to work independently and as part of a small team, be prepared to learn, work hard and be able to work under pressure.
Job Description
* General reception duties including meet and greet, attending to phone calls and emails, assisting with patient general enquiries and scanning.
* Co-ordinating patient care in a sensitive and caring way.
* All Administrative aspects of patient care, including scanning, patient notes, correspondence, accounts, consulting at the front desk, diary management for multiple sites.
* Scheduling theatre lists and patient surgeries. Booking prostheses and co-ordinating pre-operative visits, x-rays and pathology, visits with Physicians.
* Patient invoicing and payments.
* Audio typing of patient letters and medical reports.
* Operation of Zedmed software.
* Liaising with anaesthetists and assistant surgeons.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in a specialist surgical practice.
* Experience with Zedmed preferable.
* Medical terminology.
* Outstanding customer service with a desire to provide quality service to the patients, surgeons and referrers.
* Ability to work in a team and autonomously.
* Attention to detail.
* An understanding of private health funds would be advantageous.
* Excellent typing skills 60wpm plus.
* Be able to cover for sick leave and holidays when required.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $53,824.04 – $68,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 32 per week
