About the program
AIR6500 is the RAAF’s $3 billion program to develop a joint air battle management system that builds on the capabilities offered by Next Generation sensor and command and control systems. AIR6500 will create a fully networked ‘system of systems’ that synchronises air and missile defence operations in joint and coalition environments, maximising situational awareness and enhancing the speed of decision making across the battlespace.
Your responsibilities will include:
As the Program Manager (Infrastructure IPT)’s, you will be responsible for the program management associated with delivery of hardware and software products that comprise the Infrastructure component of the AIR6500 Joint Air Battle Management System.
Some key responsibilities include;
* Responsible for the delivery (cost, schedule, and technical performance) of the Program Infrastructure IPT
* Inspire and lead the team to plan, budget, and manage the cost, schedule, and technical performance of the Infrastructure IPT within an Agile framework
* Effectively develop and manage resources across the Infrastructure IPT
* Lead and motivate the Infrastructure IPT to identify, monitor and mitigate risks to maximize successful AIR6500 Program execution
* Lead the Infrastructure IPT to manage the Programs’ Earned Value Management (EVM) requirements, analysing variances and proactively implementing corrective actions
* Establish, maintain, and lead efficient team business rhythms to drive performance and facilitate effective communication across the Infrastructure IPT
About you:
To be successful in the role you will have significant program management experience (cost, schedule, quality, risk/opportunity) within the Australian Defence Industry, along with;
• Excellent planning, organisational, and management skills within multi-discipline project teams
• A superior understanding of the interfaces between technical, ILS and the Systems Engineering Lifecycle
• Demonstrated understanding of the interactions between the engineering disciplines and finance, sourcing, commercial, quality and support area
Special Requirements:
