Position Objective
The Electrical Site Foreman plays a crucial role in overseeing the work of electricians and apprentices on site. This includes liaising with clients, conducting toolbox meetings and safety assessments, and performing various ad hoc duties as required.
Workplace Duties
1. Project Coordination: Manage and coordinate electrical activities, including installations, repairs, maintenance, and testing. Ensure adherence to project specifications, schedules, and confidentiality protocols.
2. Team Leadership: Supervise and guide a team of electricians and apprentices. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and confidentiality guidelines.
3. Resource Management: Plan and allocate resources, such as manpower, equipment, and materials. Maintain confidentiality of project-related resource allocations and procurement.
4. Technical Expertise: Possess a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, codes, regulations, and industry best practices. Provide technical support and guidance to the team while maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information.
5. Collaboration: Liaise with project managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders. Ensure effective communication, coordination, and resolution of electrical-related issues or concerns while upholding confidentiality.
6. Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure high standards of workmanship and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
7. Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce a culture of safety through regular inspections, hazard identification, and mitigation. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
8. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of project progress, ensuring confidentiality of sensitive project information.
9. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical challenges, conflicts, and issues arising during electrical installations, troubleshooting, or repairs.
10. Training and Development: Provide mentorship, training, and coaching to team members, fostering their professional growth and skill development.
11. Confidentiality: Maintain the privacy and security of sensitive project details, company and client information, proprietary processes, and confidential information.
Qualifications and Experience
* Current Driver Licence
* 5 years in Construction Related Field
* A Grade Electrical Licence
* Safety Training
* Leadership Experience
