Waste Management Operator - Operator

We are looking for a skilled Waste Management Operator with experience in operating loaders, excavators, and other heavy equipment. If you have a background in waste management, composting, or related fields, and you're ready for an immediate start, we want to hear from you!
About Our Client
Our Client provide a range of waste management solutions for Businesses, Councils and Households. We provide services to manage your municipal waste, commercial and industrial waste, organics, council street sweepings, clean soil and more.
What You Will Be Doing
- Control the placement of waste and recyclables, maximizing resource recovery.
- Operate onsite plant and equipment, including loaders and excavators.
- Direct traffic within the transfer station and assist customers as needed.
- Maintain clean and tidy conditions across all buildings, grounds, and roadways.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of organic materials.
- Support other team members as required.
- Accurately complete records and paperwork.
What You Will Need
- Current South Australian drivers license.
- At least 2 years of experience in composting, waste management, or a related field.
- Proven experience operating earthmoving equipment such as compactors, bulldozers, excavators (LE), front-end loaders (LL), mobile trommels, shredders, and skid steers.
- Strong understanding of composting processes and organic waste management.
- Ability to operate and maintain composting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Basic computer skills.
Desirable
- Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of a waste transfer station.
- Boom-type elevated work platform (WP) license.
- Forklift license (LF).
- Trade qualification (Certificate III).
