Purpose of Position
Support in managing technical requests and verifying compliance of IRCA products across all target markets (EU/APAC). She/he will be responsible to ensure that the company strictly follows government rules and regulations, with extensive interaction with regional and national regulatory agencies. The specialist is expected to keep his company updated on regulatory policy and procedural changes.
Description Of Main Activities/Responsibilities
1. Assess and verify raw materials used in IRCA products including supplier updates that may impact IRCA products to meet Food Regulations across EU/US and APAC.
2. Responsible for label template creations for commercialized products and ensure labels are in compliance across all target markets (EU/US/APAC).
3. Maintain regulatory data readiness and integrity in IRCA systems.
4. Work closely with category technologist and supply quality on existing and potential suppliers and provide regulatory inputs related to specific raw material category.
5. Keep abreast with regulatory updates that will impact our products and communicate to stakeholder to ensure existing products are in compliance with the new regulation.
6. Able to write, concise but detailed and easy to understand regulatory horizon scanning and regulatory strategies that could support business growth.
Requirements
1. Education: Degree in Food Science and Technology
2. Professional Skills: Must have: supplier and customer technical relations and Regulatory knowledge of EU, US, APAC, Middle East and Africa countries; Nice to have: Religious certification (Halal, Kosher)
3. Experience: At least 2 years in food regulations and in checking raw material and product compliance across EU, US, and APAC markets (either B2B / B2C).
4. Language Skills: Proficiency in English; other European language nice to have
5. Computer Skills: Good ability to use MS Office and its standard tools; Common knowledge on data management software
6. Behavioural Requirements: High attention to detail and Accuracy; Critical thinking and Problem-solving; Communicates effectively and has exceptional written and verbal communication skills; Reliable, flexible and eager to learn; Multi-tasking, organizational and time management.
