Full-time, continuing role Located at the picturesque Townsville or Cairns campuses in tropical North Queensland Academic Level C: $129,607 - $148,787 per annum plus 17% employer superannuation contributions, leave loading and other generous employee benefits ABOUT THE ROLE In this role, you will coordinate and oversee the Graduate Certificate of Diabetes Education, ensuring an exceptional educational experience for students.
You will prepare and deliver high-quality online lectures and tutorials, as well as in-person teaching across various disciplines within the College of Healthcare Sciences.
You will play a key role in developing and innovating course materials, creating and updating online learning resources and subject materials to keep the content relevant and engaging.
Additionally, you will design assessments and manage online marking, providing timely and constructive feedback to students.
As part of the College's broader goals, you will contribute to research activities and build your personal research profile within the field of diabetes education.
You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with health services, providing expert consultation and fostering strong connections across the University and healthcare services in North Queensland.
WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO THE ROLE Relevant Credentials and Experience: You are a credentialed and experienced Diabetes Educator with a qualification in one of the following: Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife, Accredited Exercise Physiologist, or Registered Physiotherapist, as per The Australian Diabetes Educators Association.
Proven Teaching & Curriculum Development Skills.
A demonstrated ability to contribute to research activities and develop your own research profile in the field of diabetes education.
A personal commitment to the principles of reconciliation, equity, and sustainability, including respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage.
Proven ability to manage administrative tasks, including course coordination and compliance with University policies.
