For further information: click here PRIMARY OBJECTIVE Working as an advisor to the project readiness function, this role will play a central role in assessing financial viability and feasibility for the Project Delivery Management (PDM) pipeline of work. This role drives cost and variance analysis across ongoing projects while working with other PDM team members to identify and implement strategic improvement opportunities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The “WHAT” to be delivered Financial Analysis: Assess PDM projects and programs pre-delivery to assess financial viability and feasibility as a key input into the readiness function. Act as a consultant to both the Power Services and Water Services business units during business case creation to ensure alignment with PDM readiness criteria. Contributes to the budget forecasting process. Drive project cost analysis and review, working with broader PDM team to identify bundling opportunities. Create financial reporting and variance analysis to support strategic assessment. Supports business partners ensuring project financial data is posted into key systems in a timely manner. Responsible for assisting Project Managers through provision of financial data for inclusion into project closure reporting. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, finance teams, Senior Managers and Executives to align financial models with project objectives. Attend regular meetings and briefings with stakeholders to discuss financial performance while also developing a suite of reporting to articulate analytical findings, issues, and risks. Act as the primary point of contact for portfolio budget related queries, ensuring responsive and effective communication. Seek out and define channels for capturing stakeholder feedback to strengthen relationships, improve analysis and modelling outcomes, and portfolio reporting suite. Support decision makers by analysing data related to project performance, risks and financials. Presenting recommendations to senior leadership for informed decision making. Reporting and monitoring Continuously evaluate project performance metrics and identify areas for improvement to be addressed. Capture lessons learned and apply them to enhance project readiness. Implement quality assurance processes to ensure program deliverables meet established standards. Conduct regular reviews to assess program progress and quality of deliverables. Conduct internal audits to assist in the review and development of ongoing improvement processes, policies and procedures, identifying any gaps in systems and implementing changes as needed.
