About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent to join our Mining team. This is a permanent position working on a 5/2, 4/3 roster.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain the company's mobile machinery.
* Lead a team of contract maintenance labour to achieve maintenance outcomes, meeting the operational needs of the business.
* Ensure mobile equipment maintenance strategies are up-to-date, sufficiently detailed, completed on time, and rescheduled or closed off where required.
* The effective roll-out of new and existing equipment maintenance strategies and reduce the risk to the business by ensuring the introduction to site process is adhered to.
* Monitoring the execution of the maintenance strategy and work order compliance by liaising with operational stakeholders.
* Ownership of the production delay data as well as the root cause analysis process to create meaningful actions that add value, improve safety, and increase uptime.
Requirements
* Possess a trade background or tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
* Excellent understanding of equipment maintenance, especially with Komatsu and Caterpillar Mining equipment.
* A comprehensive knowledge of preventative maintenance scheduling, strategies, and computerised maintenance management systems (Viper).
* Strong ability to interact with others and provide guidance, support, and direction to the team.
* Knowledge of relevant mining-related legislation (Schedule 26).
* Valid C Class Manual Driver's License.
* Solid budgeting and forecasting experience, including demonstrated ability to manage operational expenditure budgets.
* Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
* Current national police clearance (within 6 months old).
