CATCON delivers and manages projects in the Power and Infrastructure sectors, with an impressive portfolio of completed projects across Power: gas, wind, solar, hybrid power, and Infrastructure: general, roads, bridges, structures, including for the mining and water sectors.Position and Person ProfileReporting to the QSE Manager, CATCON and Project Managers, the roles will take carriage of site wide safety and environmental systems and requirements, deliver on the project agenda and meet the projects priorities, full compliance, and ensure the objectives meet company, regulatory and client standards for the project.These HSE Advisor roles are hands-on, working across the project sites, liaising with all project stakeholders and working closely with the client representatives and various contractors on sites. You have extensive experience in the field of HSE, preferably in the Construction sector and understand the WHSE legislation in SA.You are passionate about all things WHSE and able to provide practical HSE services to the project leaders and project stakeholders. You like to drive improvements, be organised, energetic and display objective judgement in decision making.Key Tasks include:Advising Project, Site Managers & Supervisors on matters of Health & Safety compliance, as well as statutory requirementsLiaising with the client on HSE mattersDelivering site training on HSE, including toolbox meetings, JSEA and safety inductionsTaking part in Safety Audits across sitesProducing site specific OHS reports; conducting site inspections; undertaking accident investigationsSetting up site HSE requirements (e.g. signage, publications, first aid/hazardous chemicals)Skills and Experience:Qualifications in health, safety and environment (required); orA trade or engineering background, with a proven background of operating in a previous safety role, with qualificationsExperience on industrial scale projects such as roads, water, bridges or power stations, renewablesWorking knowledge of HSE legislation and best practiceStrong communication skills and high levels of motivationAdvanced knowledge and experience with MS Office suiteDemonstrated experience with implementing HSE agenda from project start-upFor further information about the company visit www.catcon.com.au.Please register your interest by submitting a Resume and Cover Letter to The Group Manager – HR/Strategy/Communications, quoting Ref no.
