The Department of Health is looking for a Medical Receptionist - Sexual Health Service to join their Team in Hobart.
The Team:
Part of the Tasmanian Health Service, the Statewide Sexual Health Service works collaboratively to deliver quality sexual health care to the Tasmanian population statewide with clinics in Hobart (Clinic 60), Launceston (Clinic 34) and Devonport outreach (Clinic 23).
Position is based in Hobart.
The role:
An exciting opportunity to work with the Statewide Sexual Health Service for up to 12 months fixed term, part-time (3 days per week) is available from April 2025 to provide maternity leave cover for a period of up to 12 months.
The role is first point of contact based at the Hobart clinic (Clinic 60) and provides a varied and interesting role working as part of a supportive statewide team.
As Medical Receptionist for the Statewide Sexual Health Service (SHS) you will provide a wide range of reception and clerical functions to support patients, staff and stakeholders of the SHS, including:
Performing high-level reception-based duties including greeting patients over the phone and in-person, making appointments, liaising with patients, external stakeholders and providers and follow-up as necessary.
Maintaining strict confidentiality and discretion practices at all times.
Maintaining and assisting with high-level flow of information (both written and verbal) to and from the SHS.
Other duties ad-hoc as the role is fast-paced and varied on a day-to-day basis.

Details of Appointment: General Stream, Band 2
Fixed Term part-time day worker position, working 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible and for a period of up to 12 months.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time and part-time vacancies.
Salary: $66,049 to $70,993 per annum (Pro rata).
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
