Reporting to the Enterprise Applications Manager, this role provides a vital leadership and technical capability for the design, implementation, maintenance, support, and administration of our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) initially across 3 major manufacturing sites.
This role can be based in one of three Manufacturing facilities, either Laverton (VIC), Rooty Hill (NSW) or Newcastle (NSW)
Key responsibilities include:
1. Lead, mentor and inspire a team of MES engineers, analysts and developers.
2. Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle of MES applications, from requirements gathering, build, test, deploy and ongoing support.
3. Collaborate with operations, quality control and IT teams to ensure solutions meet businesses operational and strategic objectives, whilst adhering to Infrabuilds technology standards and governance controls.
4. Collaborate with third-party MES vendors to ensure products and services are delivered according to contractually agreed conditions.
5. Stay current with industry trends in MES technology and manufacturing processes, applying this knowledge to drive continuous improvement.
6. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful and timely project delivery.
7. Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, risks, and opportunities.
8. Contribute to the businesses innovation and automation strategy that will leverage IOT technologies underpinned by Industry architecture.
9. Co-ordinate /7 on-call support roster and contribute to this as an escalation point.
10. Tertiary qualified in Computer Science, Engineering or similar discipline
11. + years experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems and/or related technical disciplines.
12. Experience in leading a team of technical specialists with a proven track record of successful technology implementations.
13. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex manufacturing challenges and develop innovative solutions.
14. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, shop floor operations and quality control.
15. Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
16. Exposure to ERP & Industrial Automation systems in a process industry advantageous
17. Skills in SQL Database Development (SQL Server & Oracle) would be advantageous.
18. Previous experience in an Industrial Manufacturing environment is preferred.
