Role Overview
Data Governance Analyst role plays a key part in ensuring data management, governance, and usage practices across the organisation. This includes overseeing master data, reference data, data quality, metadata, access management, and data privacy to ensure data is secure and protected.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Partner with stakeholders to achieve customer and banker outcomes where data underpins requirements or goals.
* Manage data quality issues and drive remediation strategies and execution.
* Analyse and ensure data aspects are integral to process and system evolution.
* Map and catalogue data elements and assets, addressing data quality shortcomings.
* Deliver against committed milestones with Data Management teams.
* Identify and propose ways to address constraints hindering progress.
Requirements
* Experience in identifying, analysing, modelling, and resolving data quality issues.
* Understanding of metadata, data lineage, designing for data simplification, and defining data assets.
* Planning, sizing, and executing activities with Agile in mind.
* Building trusted relationships across the organisation and influencing senior leaders.
* Collaborative approach with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
* Extensive business analysis experience in data quality and protection/privacy management practices.
* Leadership and direction for direct and indirect reports.
