To deliver all this and more, we're looking for a Chef de Partie with a passion for presentation, dedication to flavour and commitment to setting high standards from workspace to table and beyond.A little taste of your day-to-day:Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:Assist in supervising daily kitchen activities, providing instruction to less experienced culinary staffCheck culinary staff methods of preparation, portion sizes and timeliness in food preparationPromote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departmentsPrepare batch recipes, food items and assist in all kitchen activities to ensure that guests receive high quality food items in a timely mannerCoordinate the smooth service in relation to the pass and pick-up of foodAssist in determining the minimum and maximum stocks of all food, material and equipment in a timely mannerCommunicate ordering needs, and complete orders using hotel system (Foodbuy)Understand Brand Standards and lead the team in complying with brand requirementsAssist in creating and testing new recipes and menu design, as well as food costingAssist in inspecting the cleanliness of the floor and all kitchen stations.Maintain and strictly abide by proper storage procedures and state sanitation and health regulationsMay serve as Sous / Banquet Chef in their absence as requiredYou'll make sure our dishes are always at their best - we have standards - but it's down to you to make that sure the dining experience is special and memorable for guestsWhat We Need from You:Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) is essential2 years' experience working as a chef in either hotel or restaurant environmentsExperience working in a culinary environment servicing multiple outlets or a conference facility will be key and exposure to an open kitchen environment would be an advantageExcellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage well with both the team and guestsFlexibility to work days, nights and holidays where requiredWhat You Can Expect from Us:We give our people everything they need to succeed.
