About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Shared Service Finance Officer for Accounts Receivable & Collections, you will manage the identification and follow-up of aged debtors, including regular follow-ups with clients and plan managers. This is a soft collections role, where you will utilise various communication methods to build relationships and resolve issues in a professional manner. You will also escalate disputes and report on collection performance to stakeholders.
This is a 12 month full time maximum term contact role, location is flexible. This role offers the flexibility to work from your preferred location, whether that is your home or from an LWB office.
Key Responsibilities
* Sort and prioritise delinquent accounts, monitor receivables, and ensure compliance with payment plans.
* Execute collection contact strategies and escalate actions when required.
* Follow dispute management and escalation processes for unpaid debts.
* Perform reconciliation of accounts and investigate unusual or irregular transactions related to collections.
* Provide monthly reports on collections performance, including identifying any new or existing risks, issues, or errors.
* Use various communication channels to follow up with customers on overdue accounts and resolve any disputes.
Skills & Experience
* Demonstrated experience in collections functions in a high-volume environment.
* Experience using computerised accounts receivable and / or collection systems.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes.
* Proven experience in the follow-up and collection of outstanding debtors.
* Working knowledge of the relevant legislative and regulatory environment for collections.
* Ability to work independently with a keen eye for detail.
* Demonstrated ability to create clear reports and correspondence related to collections.
* Ability to work collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
