We have an immediate opening for an Engineering Project Manager on a 12+ month contract to support the delivery of sustaining capital engineering projects for major clients such as Rio Tinto, BHP, and Fortescue.
About Our Client Our client is a well-established Project Management and Engineering company, specializing in the resources and infrastructure sectors. They excel in developing and executing high-quality projects for these industries.
Role Summary As the Engineering Project Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of engineering and design projects. Key responsibilities include:
Expanding the portfolio of projects for key clients. Leading a team of project engineers responsible for studies, engineering design, and supporting procurement, construction, and commissioning activities. Collaborating with company Directors and team members to maintain the company's high standard of service and client satisfaction. Meeting revenue and performance targets for clients. Managing client relationships, including expectations, project scope, schedule, budget, and risk. Mentoring and developing the project engineering team. The ideal candidate will have: Proven experience in managing sustaining capital projects. Hands-on involvement in projects with engineering and design fees ranging from $10K to $2.5M. Significant experience managing engineering projects focussed on materials handling in Sustaining Capital/Brownfields environments. At least 15 years in the mining industry, with most of this experience in a multi-discipline design environment. A minimum of 5 years as a senior project engineer or project manager.
