Under supervision, and in accordance with Agency policy, legal, regulatory, and funded program requirements, the Health Care Assistant provides high quality care and support to community and/or facility-based clients and assists with a range of daily living activities that a person would normally do for themselves.
The Team:
* We are located in the historical town of Beaconsfield, a scenic 45 minutes' drive from Launceston. National Parks, beaches and historical sites are all within a short drive from the town.
* You will find, Beaconsfield District Health Service is known for its welcoming environment, with strong teamwork and positive attitudes.
* Beaconsfield District Health Service provides care to a complex patient cohort, Respite clients, Aged Care residents, Emergency presentations and sub-acute clients.
The Role:
* As a Health Care Assistant, you will be expected to attend group handover.
* You will assist with shared care of the residents and patients, attending to their hygiene and continence requirements during your shift.
* You will be required to make beds, empty skip bins as needed and fill cupboards with clean linen.
* You will be required to set up residents/patients for feeds and assist in feeding residents/patients as needed.
* You will assist residents/patients to and from the dining room and help with serving meals, drink preparation and clearing of plates etc.
* You will also assist the resident/patient to get changed and prepared for bed.
* You will take direction from nursing staff.
Details of appointment:
Fixed term, casual, position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for 12 months.

Salary: $62,486 to $65,119 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
