POSITION SUMMARY: The Production Engineering Manager, reporting to the Director, will oversee the productive delivery of quality design specifications, sufficient to build the product to meet the agreed customer requirements. They will be responsible for managing workloads, evaluations, design, reviews and approvals, engineering change order process, and ongoing maintenance of SMARDT's quality processes. MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES: Manage and oversee productive delivery of unambiguous engineering documentation and specifications to ensure on time and uninterrupted manufacturing of SMARDT Product.Maintain and ensure the integrity of product design documentation, in line with the SMARDT global unified designs, including but not limited to CAD models, drawings and performance specifications.Review and update processes and improve department productivity, ensuring ongoing compliance and maintenance of the SMARDT Quality Control Manual.Monitor and manage supply chain requirements impacting on the product design including alternate component supply strategies and cost improvements.Perform direct line department performance reviews on an annual basis.Other tasks and duties necessary to support the SMARDT Global Engineering and Development DepartmentsMaintain and ensure the integrity of all necessary regulatory compliance requirements of the product within the markets it is sold withinUndertake and manage the approved product design programs ensuring outcomes comply with applicable global standards and meet clearly documented design objectivesKEY SELECTION CRITERIA: Chartered EngineerA minimum of 5 years' experience A minimum of a bachelor's degree in mechanical or Building EngineeringPrevious experience managing a teamManagement experience (highly desirable)Critical thinker and great problem solverAbility to think analytically and develop effective strategies Relevant experience in ManufacturingA proven track record in collaborating and operating in cross functional teamsAbility to think analytically and develop effective strategiesAbility to work unsupervised with a "can-do" approach.Ability to follow procedures and policies as per company standards DISCLAIMER: This is a great opportunity to join a global company based locally in Bayswater North.
