We are seeking a Contract Manager to lead our team at the Nauru Regional Processing Centre.
About the Role
In your role as Contract Manager, you will be responsible for leading MTC’s contract to provide facilities, garrison, transferee arrivals and reception services in Nauru.
General Duties include but are not limited to:
1. Work to safeguard the company by ensuring we are compliant with legislation, regulations, policies, procedures and standards affecting our business.
2. Ensure the safe and humane containment of those within our care.
3. Ensure the safety and security of those within our care, employees and visitors to site.
4. Successfully manage stakeholder relationships including government bodies and suppliers that provide goods and services to our business.
5. Ensure Contract KPI achievement and work with stakeholders to deliver government and company initiatives.
6. Make long-range plans and schedules, set goals and establish objectives to drive a continuous improvement model.
7. Achieve budget performance and manage the profit and loss of the centre effectively and in line with corporate office expectations.
8. Provide leadership and motivation to managers, supervisors and employees and engage regularly with the team to promote an open and inclusive environment.
9. Approve, initiate, interpret, revise and enforce operational policies and directives to ensure the efficient management of the centre.
10. Direct the activities of all functions, assign duties and oversee delegates of authority to accomplish sound operational management of the centre.
To be successful in this role you will have:
1. Proven general/contract management experience within corrections or immigration.
2. Formal qualification in corrections or related field, however, significant experience will be considered if formal qualifications are not held.
3. Proven experience overseeing complex training programs.
4. Proven experience overseeing Workers Compensation claims and improving Return to Work timelines.
5. Ability to gain and retain all the police/security clearances required.
6. Ability to pass required health assessments.
7. Proven right to work in Australia.
8. Current Working with Children Card.
9. Current First Aid Certificate.
10. Evidence that you are vaccinated against COVID-19 (double vaccinated) plus one booster with a vaccine recognised in Australia.
