How will I help?
Working within the Technology, Credit Decisioning, Risk Technology the Service Owner is a bridge between key business stakeholders (or customers) and an Agile development team, managing the value delivered by the team, ensuring that it aligns with the overall service strategy. The Service Owner is accountable for getting the team to develop the right thing, while the team is accountable for developing it the right way.
Primarily this will support the design and development of PowerCurve Strategy Manager (PCSM) and Data Link Manager (DLM), using products from Experian and Equifax. The solutions delivered are part of the origination processes for Westpac’s high volume lending products for Mortgages, Credit Cards, Personal Loans and Business Lending.
This role sits within the Credit Risk Technology team report under Risk & Group Business Units (GBU) technology. GBU is diverse covering many areas like HR, Operations, Property, Financial Crime to name a few. Working within this wider team presents a unique opportunity to engage and understand a wide range of business areas, their technology and challenges.
Role responsibilities include:
* Support the Service Owner Lead, by executing on the overall service strategy and the voice of the customer.
* Manage the Ways of Working between the different squads suggesting and incorporating improvements
* Work with the Senior Service Owner to consider the resourcing requirements and profile of the team
* Managing each incoming Engagement Request from inception/initiation through to the delivery of an estimation, and finally to the approval and handover of the Engagement, preparing readiness to handover to the Delivery Phase
* Overseeing response to Engagement Requests, utilising a set of defined tools and templates to ensure each Request is managed effectively and efficiently, whilst maintaining a robust audit trail
* Facilitation of high-level requirements/solution discussions to enable estimation and planning including follow-up, required walk-throughs and approvals
* Managing production releases for Credit Decisioning portfolio and working closely with end-to-end projects release
