This role is critical to the development and validation of our transdermal drug delivery platform, with a strong emphasis on In Vitro Permeation Testing (IVPT), analytical techniques, and experimental research.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, execute, and analyze in vitro permeation testing (IVPT) experiments to evaluate drug delivery performance.Develop and validate IVPT methodologies in accordance with regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA).Prepare, handle, and maintain biological membranes for testing purposes.Perform and interpret analytical techniques, including but not limited to High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).Optimize and validate analytical methods to ensure precise and reliable quantification of drug permeation.Set up and maintain experimental apparatus, such as Franz or flow-through diffusion cells.Perform calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.Document experimental procedures and results in a detailed and organized manner.Keep accurate records of drug stock (e.g. Schedule 4 drugs) to support drug controller audits.Process and analyze experimental data using statistical and modeling techniques.Generate technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.Adhere to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and laboratory safety standards.Support the preparation of regulatory submissions with robust experimental data.Work autonomously to drive projects forward while maintaining regular communication with a dispersed team.Proactively identify and resolve challenges, demonstrating a self-starter mindset.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including chemists, biologists, and engineers, to optimize formulations and device performance.Assist in preparing research publications, grant applications, and technical documents.Qualifications and ExperienceMaster’s with 5 years industry experience or PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences (with formulation emphasis), or a related field.Strong analytical skills, with experience in HPLC and related analytical methods.Familiarity operating electronic lab equipment such as potentiostat, current source, and oscilloscope, as well as performing routine EIS and CP measurements.Experience with or a willingness to learn techniques to process biological samples, including extracting skin samples from whole stillborn piglets, tissue fixation, sectioning, and staining.Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, MATLAB, R, or similar).Ability to operate independently and take initiative in a startup environment.Familiarity with GLP standards and laboratory safety practices.Experience with electro-pharmaceutical systems or transdermal drug delivery technologies.Knowledge of regulatory requirements for drug delivery systems.Previous experience working in a startup or dispersed team environment.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including documentation.Collaborative mindset with a proactive and adaptable approach.What We OfferOpportunity to contribute to groundbreaking technology in a highly innovative environment to improve the lives of patients and their caregivers.Flexible and collaborative workplace culture.Career development opportunities in a fast-growing startup.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeIndustriesPharmaceutical Manufacturing
