Initial 12 month requirement for a tenured Financial Services Risk Management professional to join a Regulatory Change PMO This role is positioned in a Regulatory Change PMO to support the delivery of risk and regulatory change. You will closely work with a team of experienced risk and compliance professionals, as well as stakeholders across the first and second line both in Australia and offshore to support the delivery of the risk change programs/activities. Using a proactive, collaborative and consultative approach, you will work closely with partners across all three lines of defence locally, regionally and globally. Key Responsibilities : Work with key internal stakeholders and Regulatory Change Project Management Office to help drive successful implementation and operationalisation of regulatory change initiatives. Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) advice and effective review and challenge across the Australian business on the Risk Management Framework, operational risk mitigation strategies and controls Engaging professionally and collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders, including the Executive Team, Senior Leadership Team, Delivery Teams and other internal stakeholders, to understand business needs, current state and advise on what Future State should look like Own and manage the delivery of non-financial risk and compliance initiatives Analyse existing business practices, policies, processes and procedures to identify where process improvements and enhancements can be made while implementing new processes Assist in the design and implementation of controls and processes to ensure compliance to obligations Partner with Change Manager and Training Mangers to assist with the development and delivery of change and training as a result of the new regulatory change, or risk change initiatives. Required Experience/ Qualifications : 7-10 years of experience in risk management within Australia’s financial services, APRA/ASIC-regulated entities Technical writing experience (framework/policy enhancement) Practical experience in implementing operational risk management frameworks, systems and tools Deep knowledge of controls governance and oversight across all 3 lines of defence Experience in designing and implementing policies, processes and procedures Experience in providing risk oversight and challenge Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to analyse business processes and risks to identify control/process improvements Demonstrated experience and ability to build relationships at all levels including influencing executive and senior level stakeholders Experience in writing comprehensive reports and presentation recommendations/solutions to a wide range of stakeholders including at an executive or committee level audience Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), including having the ability to understand complex issues and recommend potential solutions Ability to operate independently, multi-task and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience working in highly complex risk and/or regulatory projects Ability to create complex and successful strategies for risk mitigation Ability to lead, influence, and drive change
