This includes monitoring interdependences across multiple initiatives to facilitate the successful delivery and support of Vessel, Vehicle and Trailer operational capability for a new integrated marine rescue service.The core capability requirements for this role are: Manage major MRQ fleet projects of a complex nature, utilising project management techniques and tools to ensure project objectives are delivered.Consult, liaise, and negotiate with the vehicle and marine industry suppliers supporting technical and operational requirements for fleet resources.Manage MRQ fleet build programs, including establishing and reviewing budgets and preparing forecasts to ensure clients' priorities are delivered.Prepare correspondence, briefings, reports, and submissions relevant to MRQ fleet program management.Contribute to the development and research of operational policy, systems, and equipment fitted to marine rescue vessels.Provide expert advice to internal and external stakeholders on issues and initiatives pertaining to fleet.Prepare and maintain budget submissions and monitor expenditure of funds relating to MRQ vessel fleet management and maintenance.Role Requirements: Mandatory: Possession of Open 'C' Class Queensland Drivers Licence.Commercial AMSA Qualifications (Coxswain or Master Qualification: Qualification as a marine shipwright or as a marine surveyor is highly desirable.Technical/Operational/Educational Experience: Experience in a similar role and industry is desirable.Other: Ability to travel intra-state in alignment with service requirements.Applications to remain current for 12 months.
