About the Opportunity We have a number of exciting opportunities for Community Support Workers to join our Lifestyle Choices team in Wagga Wagga. These positions are casual to cover planned and at short notice unplanned absences, therefore flexible availability is highly desirable. Lifestyle Choices operating hours are between 7:30am and 6:30pm from Monday through to Friday. Kurrajong Lifestyle Choices is a day service operating out of Hildasid Farm. Hildasid has a range of facilities enjoyed by our staff and clients alike, such as an art room, fully equipped kitchen, bike and walking tracks, drama room and accompanying performance stage. Outside of the numerous activities Hildasid offers our clients, you may find yourself going out into the community to actively participate in swimming or to visit one of Wagga’s many attractions. As a Community Support Worker, you’ll be responsible for providing a quality service to support the individual needs of our clients. This includes: Foster an environment that empowers people with disability and promotes community integration Provide support to our clients to achieve their goals in the areas of volunteer work, communication, creative expression, living skills, community participation and sport and recreation Research, develop and implement activities where our clients can participate and develop their skills Importantly, you must demonstrate a real desire to work with people living with disability and have a sound understanding of how to best assist them to live a life of their choice.
