Strategic Financial Leadership role to elevate Financial Governance across VICSES & support Community Resilience through Financial Excellence.Remuneration Package - $225,000 - $235,000Ongoing Full TimeLocation: SouthbankAbout the RoleThe Financial Controller is VICSES's most senior finance position and a highly autonomous, executive-facing role recently upgraded to meet the evolving needs of the organisation. Reporting to the Executive Director of Community and Corporate Services, you will be responsible for overseeing the agency's financial management, compliance, and reporting. You will lead VICSES through a challenging fiscal environment, focusing on efficiency savings and robust budget oversight while ensuring compliance with the Financial Management Act 1994 (Vic). You'll be integral in providing strategic insight to the executive team and Board, clearly communicating complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders to enable informed decision-making. As Financial Controller, you will also lead a team of 11 staff across business partnering, accounting, finance operations, systems, and payroll, dedicated to providing enhanced service to VICSES's 154 volunteer units across the state and strengthening partnerships to provide clear oversight around budgeting and forecasts, enhancing financial sustainability, and ultimately supporting the agency's community-focused mission.About YouA strategic and collaborative CPA/CA qualified finance leader with deep expertise in public sector financial governance, you have a proven track record of success in navigating complex fiscal environments, uplifting capability in teams, and driving innovation and efficiency to improve finance service. With a commitment to stakeholder engagement and a reputation for building strong relationships and business partnering support and oversight, you are skilled at translating complex financial data for non-financial audiences and telling the story behind the numbers.
