Alfred Infant Child and Youth Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service is dedicated to providing accessible mental health services for infants, children, young people, and their families/carers.
Our Mission
We strive to create a safe and inclusive environment that values respect, partnership, and integrity. Our team of professionals works together to deliver specialist mental health services, incorporating the lived experience of family peer specialists and youth peer workers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to psychiatric and neurodevelopmental assessments and interventions for young people aged 12-26 with an intellectual disability and co-occurring mental health disorder.
* Work directly with clients, including parent, family, and group work.
* Participate in health screening for all clients across the clinic and provide nursing reviews on the Eating Disorders Program.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Registration with AHPRA as a nurse.
* Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent.
* Two or more years of post-qualifying experience within Mental Health Services, with paediatric/adolescent experience desirable.
