Senior Workers Compensation Pay Advisor
Location: Burwood, Vic
Duration: 3 months, immediate start
Pay rate: $65-$68 per hour
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Workers Compensation Pay Advisor to join our dynamic team.
In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in workers' compensation regulations and claims management to provide strategic guidance and support.
You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely compensation payments, collaborating with various departments to enhance our processes and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications
Essential
* Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related discipline
* Relevant payroll certification or equivalent
* Extensive experience in workers compensation payments
Skills and Experience
Essential
* Extensive experience in end-to-end payroll processing, specifically related to workers compensation
* Strong understanding of workers compensation governance and legislative requirements
* Comprehensive knowledge of payroll processes including auto pays, PAYG, tax implications, and general payroll administration
* Sound understanding of the financial implications of claims management and WorkCover premiums
* Demonstrated technical knowledge of the Victorian workers' compensation framework
* Experience with computerized payroll systems and time and attendance software
* Strong expertise in payroll tax obligations and compliance requirements
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy
* A focus on providing a positive customer experience
Desirable
* Experience in Emergency Services, Health industries or those with shift work arrangements
* Previous experience in a similar role within the public sector
Specialist / Technical / IT Expertise
* Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills including PowerPoint and Word
* Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly Excel
* Experience with payroll systems and time and attendance software
* Experience with workers compensation payment systems.
* Support the identification of systems and process improvement initiatives, including new technologies where relevant
