The Government employs an inclusive and diverse workforce, with fun and supportive office environments and flexible work options.About your new roleAs an administration Officer, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and regulatory support to the organization service units, ensuring efficient operations, accurate record-keeping, and responsive customer service.Location: LeichhardtStart: 25th of November 2024End: 21st of February 2025Salary: $36.09-$41.40 per hour + SuperHours: 21 hours per week - Monday to FridayResponsibilities include:Administrative & System Support: Provide technical staff support, update templates, forms, and databases, and ensure accurate record-keeping in Council's Electronic Records Management System.Financial & Invoicing Tasks: Handle invoicing, debt collection, audits, purchase requisitions, and system updates for fees, charges, and funds allocation.Document & Inquiry Processing: Manage mail-outs, Court Attendance Notices, SDRO fine inquiries, and customer requests, ensuring all documentation is saved correctly.Specialized Support: Perform specific tasks for Health and Building or Rangers & Parking units, such as certificate updates and data entry for Companion Animal Register.General Operations & Resource Management: Manage equipment, uniforms, stock levels, timesheets, and assist with meeting minutes, ASIC searches, and procedure updates.What you will need to succeedDemonstrated experience in using Tech 1High level computer literacy and knowledge – All Microsoft Software, including but not limited to Microsoft Word (all word processing functions), Excel Spreadsheets, with the ability to update custom registers, data bases and Corporate Systems.Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in order to provide high level administrative support to service units undertaking regulatory investigations and auditsHigh level communication, mediation and negotiation skillsExperience working for Local Government This is a great opportunityThis is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.
