Day, Afternoon and Inactive sleepover shifts available$40.00p/h - $72.00p/hStart ImmediatelyAbout the Company:Unidex Healthcare is a privately owned recruitment company established in 2001, operating across Australia with main offices in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, and Queensland.We actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field, specializing in Disability Services, Support Services, and Allied Health.The Role:Our participant is a 57-year-old male requiring 24/7 support due to a spinal cord injury and a hypoxic brain injury from a near drowning experience.He enjoys spending time at the beach and has interests in surfing and mountain hiking.Requirements:Due to the complexity of the participant's needs, successful candidates must have experience with bowel therapy, catheter management, and hoisting OR be willing to learn these skills.Roster:The current care plan covers a 24/7 roster.The current shift times requiring coverage are:Shift 1: 4:00PM - 10:00PM (Afternoon) + 10:00PM - 06:00AM (Inactive sleepover) + 06:00AM - 10:00AM (Morning Shift)The above-listed shift is one whole shift and cannot be separated.Pay rates are:Day - $40.00 p/hAfternoon - $44.00 p/hSaturday - $56.00 p/hSunday - $72.00 p/hSleepover Allowance - $100 fixed rate Duties: Personal care: washing, drying, dressing & groomingAssistance with bowel therapy (Peristeen - training will be provided)Daily skin checksPressure wound managementAssistance with domestic tasks including cleaning, meal preparation & feedingAssistance with daily Health & Rehab exercisesCommunity access + rehab appointmentsSkills & Experience: Experience with spinal cord injuries/brain injury or other high-complex care participantsExperience with catheter managementBowel therapy (Peristeen - training will be provided)Pressure injuries & wound managementAustralian Driver LicenseConfidence to drive a wheelchair-accessible van (desired)Current National Police ClearanceCurrent Working with Children's CheckNDIS Worker Screening CheckFirst Aid & CPR CertificateNDIS Worker Orientation Module and Supporting Effective Communication ModuleMedication Administration Training (must)Advanced Bowel Management - Peristeen Training (must)Reliability with a proactive and positive attitude is very important to the participantPlease note: two current references are required.If you meet the above criteria and are interested in the role, hit the "Apply" button now. #J-18808-Ljbffr
