This role is located in Brisbane.Please be aware, while Boeing Defence Australia does offer a flexible work/life balance, employees must be able to attend the office on a weekly basis.The role will involve implementing, securing and maintaining computer systems software development and rapid prototyping environments, hardening systems and security remediation activities.
Having Defence experience will prove invaluable in this position.ResponsibilitiesSome of the key responsibilities will include:Leadership of the Labs and Network TeamSupporting engineering teams conducting modelling and simulation, software development and rapid prototyping activities.Developing supporting documentation and design artefacts from project requirementsAdministration of Virtual Servers, Active Directory & System monitoringFault finding and resolving ad-hoc problems to prevent system downtimeCommunicating with business stakeholders and project team members to produce requirements from these engagementsExperience/QualificationsThe successful candidate will be able to convey their knowledge and experience in the general, technical and behavioural competencies listed above with the most desirable experience being:Maintaining, administering and supporting Windows Desktop/Server and Linux systemsNetworking skills with ability to fault find and resolve issuesStrong understanding of virtualization technologies - VMware and/or Hyper-VExperience in Identity Management, Multi-Factor Authentication and Group Policy configuration and implementation (Active Directory, Federation Services, RSA).Information Security Manual experience highly desiredHigh level of customer service, including strong written and verbal communication skillsAble to demonstrate experience in managing the exploration of opportunities, including developing appropriate risk mitigationDefence Security clearance to NEGATIVE VETTING 2 or above advantageousOther specific criteria:Ability to obtain a Defence Security clearance to NEGATIVE VETTING 2Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.About UsBoeing Defence Australia is shaping the future of aerospace and delivering some of the nation's most important programs for the Australian Defence Force.As a BDA employee, you will join other innovative, ethical people who have the critical skills required to develop and deliver world class capabilities and systems to protect Australia and its national interests.Joining us is a chance to make your mark, working with a diverse team that is united in pushing the boundaries of imagination and excellence.At Boeing, we innovate and collaborate to make the world a better place.
