The ABF cultivates a culture built on integrity, professionalism, respect, accountability and teamwork, creating a supportive and inclusive workplace that contributes to ABF's mission.
The Civil Maritime Sustainment Branch (CMSB) provides the ABF's air and maritime surveillance capability within Australia's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). This includes operating a fleet of vessels crewed by ABF officers who perform strategic patrols, tactical surveillance and on-water law enforcement activities within the EEZ. The Branch also manages contracted surveillance aircraft, satellite, sensor systems and logistics support to civil maritime operations. CMSB operates in a complex, challenging and changing environment that is characterised by a high tempo of civil maritime operations.
The contract manager positions are within the Marine Logistics and Aviation, the Cape Class Patrol Boat (CCPB) and the Large Hull and Small Vessel In-Service Support (ISS) Sections in the CMSB.
The Sections provide ISS, marine logistics and medical services for vessels as well as aviation services which are delivered through various high value contracts. The work includes managing complex high value contracts, managing fleet ISS arrangements for vessels and providing a range of briefings given the high-profile nature of the services.
