The Role
Our Mount Isa team is seeking applications from driven and experienced individuals for a Field Service Technician position. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient maintenance of our client’s fleet of Sandvik Mining equipment, working on-site and in the workshop. As a Field Service Technician, you will be performing inspection, preventative maintenance, and repairs of a range of specialist mining equipment, including but not limited to underground development and production drills.
Local and FIFO positions available on 8:6 dayshift roster. FIFO options available out of Brisbane and Townsville.
By adopting a proactive stance in maintaining machine efficiency, you will enhance our clients' operational productivity and success, contributing to the expansion of our customer network and the development of our support division. In return, we commit to providing comprehensive product training and the backing of our specialized product support team.
Areas of Responsibility
Carry out general mechanical duties, maintenance, repairs and fault diagnosis work on all Sandvik Underground Mining equipment.
Performing mechanical maintenance duties as per maintenance plans while upholding the integrity of the equipment and ensuring safe operation is not compromised.
Providing feedback for efficient maintenance planning improvements.
Record keeping of parts usage, equipment monitoring, time records.
Adhering to all policies & procedures, especially EHS policies.
Support technicians from other regions and assist in training.
Work effectively either in a team environment or autonomously.
Assist with machine audits/inspections.
Your Profile
Australian recognized Mechanical Trade Certification is required.
Demonstrated previous experience with Sandvik Underground mining equipment would be a distinct advantage.
Strong and proven safety culture.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service focus and motivation and determination to achieve targets and goals.
Basic computer literacy.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Class C Manual Driver’s License is required.
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, reference checks, police checks and regular onsite drug & alcohol testing.
