Be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, availability, and performance of critical applications within the organization.
They are also responsible for managing the application lifecycle including upgrades, log management, monitoring, incident management, problem resolution, and disaster recovery, and it requires a deep understanding of application architecture, infrastructure, and business requirements.
The major responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to maintain high application availability and performance standards while continuously improving processes and procedures.
Coordinate and execute daily operational tasks related to application management, security, compliance, monitoring, performance, and availability.
Be an escalation point and provide technical and application troubleshooting support for team members and end-users.
Define and set-up monitoring and threshold notifications, respond to monitoring alerts, diagnose issues, and escalate as necessary.
Analyse log data to detect and remediate anomalies, performance issues, and security threats.
Define and analyse application performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Develop and implement automation scripts and tools that reduce regular task toil and maintain operational application effectiveness.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all managed applications.
Essential
Significant experience in IT Operations Management.
Proven experience in end-to-end operational management of applications and services that reside on-premise and in the cloud.
This includes system administration, cloud computing, scripting and automation, database management, monitoring and performance management, and incident and problem management.
Strong implementation and understanding of monitoring processes and solutions (e.g.
AppManager, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Application Insights).
Excellent log analysis, root cause analysis, and technical problem-solving abilities.
Strong administration, configuration, optimization and management of cloud technologies.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g.
Python, PowerShell) and automation tools.
Experience with database management and database troubleshooting (e.g., Microsoft SQL, Postgres).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., ITIL, Azure, Microsoft Dynamics 365) is a plus.
Desirable
Knowledge of asset financing / fleet leasing products.
Admin experience with Atlassian toolsets including Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket.
Software development experience.
Experience with Dynamics 365/Power platform, Reporting and Analytics (Power Bi, Databricks etc).
