Core Duties and Responsibilities: As Paralegal, your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, depending on practice: Conducting legal research, reviewing case materials, and drafting legal documents; Interviewing clients and witnesses, summarizing depositions, and organizing files; Managing multiple cases, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring deadlines are met; Applying knowledge of legal procedures and terminology to maintain accurate client files and support lawyers; Filing documentation with court systems and assisting in communication with lawyers, clients, and courts; Providing exceptional client service while handling sensitive information with discretion; Adapting to changing priorities in a dynamic legal environment; Supporting other team members as needed. Qualifications and Skills The ideal fit for this role requires the following combination of qualifications, skills, and experience: Graduate of a Paralegal diploma program or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders; Proven ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment; Detail-oriented, meticulous, and proficient in critical thinking and problem-solving; Knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and case management; Strong client service orientation and ability to maintain confidentiality; Adaptable and flexible in a dynamic work environment; Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and quick to learn new software; Knowledge of Closing Folders and ProLaw is an asset.
