The Finance Projects and Systems team is responsible for managing and maintaining core finance systems and providing user support within the Agency Budget and Financial Control Branch. The team is also responsible for driving system and process improvements across the branch and leads the implementation of key finance projects.
The Assistant Director (EL1) Finance Project and Systems (Professional Stream) position is responsible for managing complex or sensitive finance projects within the Chief Financial Officer Group with a focus on optimisation and continuous improvement.
The position is an important team leadership position within the NDIA and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across wide-ranging activities of substantial depth involving significant detail. The role requires providing leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management, and decision-making for the team membership and assigned contractors working within the work area.
The Assistant Director (EL1) Finance Project and Systems (Professional Stream) is required to coordinate and assume responsibility to undertake detailed or sensitive projects that may include performing varied activities involving many different and unrelated processes or methods that may impact on the strategic or operational outcomes that support the NDIA's objectives to build a world-leading National Disability Insurance Scheme.
