in the position of Facilities Officer (Groundsperson), commencing January 2025.This is a term-time continuing position for up to 38hpw or the opportunity for a job share arrangement for the right applicant.We are seeking applicants who will contribute to the effective and efficient operation and environment of the school through a high level of personal motivation and initiative in the ongoing maintenance, beautification, and development of the school's facilities and grounds.Reporting to the Principal, this role performs daily grounds and maintenance tasks including minor repairs and maintenance of school building and surrounds, gardening and grounds beautification and various other tasks as required.Typical duties include but are not limited:- Securing grounds and equipment – keeping our school safe Mowing, trimming and fertilising lawns and turf areas Repairing and maintaining irrigation systems Weeding, planting and fertilising gardens Outdoor cleaning and use of high-pressure water cleaner Identify and assist with minor building maintenance – e.g., touch up painting and other minor repairs.Assembling, moving, and relocating furniture Assisting with the set-up of spaces for school events Gardening and general caretaking of school buildings and gardens Working with other grounds staff, as required Rubbish and waste management Working with, contractors to
