We are seeking a Restaurant Manager to oversee all aspects of our cafe's operations, providing excellent service to customers and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in managing a restaurant/café, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and proficiency in management and leadership. Key responsibilities include coordinating menus, planning special functions, managing stock and finances, and promoting the cafe brand in the local community. The position requires a self-driven and self-motivated individual who can work under pressure and lead a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences. The salary range is $70,000 to $75,000 AUD, and the role is full-time with 38 hours per week.Key Responsibilities:• Coordinate and plan menus with Chefs and other kitchen staff• Oversee, coordinate, and organise special functions and large bookings• Plan the purchase and pricing of goods in accordance with budget• Keep records of stock levels and financial transactions for the cafe• Ensure dining, cafe and kitchen spaces adhere to health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance• Communicate with customers to receive feedback about their dining experience and improve customer experience• Promote the cafe brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and café events• Take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking ordersRequirements:• AQF Associate Degree Advanced Diploma or Diploma (or relevant experience may substitute)• At least 3 years of experience in managing a restaurant/café and working in the hospitality industry• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills• Ability to work under pressure and during busy dining periods in the cafe• Organisation and time management skills are essential to the overall operations of the cafe• Proficient management and leadership skills• Conflict and dispute resolution skills encouraged• Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply
