About the role The Works Coordinator leads Council's team of Municipal staff ensuring the delivery of core services to our community. Working with both programmed and reactive works we need someone who can be flexible while ensuring that consistent service delivery and planned projects happen on time meaning you'll need critical thinking and problem solving to get the job done. We're looking for someone who is a strong team leader, great at communicating clear directions, escalating issues when required, motivating a team to do their best and can manage performance and resolve issues as they arise. Given the nature of the work you'll need a strong understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation and responsibility and a track record of continuous improvement and strong leadership in WHS. The core of our work is in customer service, so you'll also need to be able to engage with the community and key stakeholders to meet expectations and foster collaborative working relationships, keeping the community in mind is central to this role. Good computer skills are required including experience managing budgets, monitoring compliance and reporting on progress. You'll be supported by the Operations Manager and Technical Officer. We're looking for someone who's worked in a similar role with relevant qualifications such as a trade or diploma.
