This role requires someone with Forensic DNA interpretation and case management skills.What you'll doUse high levels of knowledge, expertise and clinical skills in exercising independent judgment in problem solving and forensic case managementUndertake forensic interpretation following established accredited forensic protocols and standardsResponsible for providing results of DNA analysis, interpretation and case managementUses and applies a high level of interpersonal skills, ensuring effective cooperation and communicationWork independently in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environmentWork across a range of client engagementsCollaborate with all of bdna and allocated clientsBe knowledgeable of current and future methods, examples and trendsWork within bdna and client teams and on occasions work with limited supervision and or structureAwareness and understanding of other cultures, beliefs and diversities of our clients and teamMaintain a positive attitude and contribute to the great culture of bdna.What you've gotProven experience working in a forensic DNA laboratory with ability to effectively interpret DNA profiles and undertake case managementDemonstrated knowledge of, or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of, contemporary statistical interpretation of forensic DNA profiles, including the use of statistical softwareTechnical knowledge and the ability to provide insight into processes performed in a laboratory environmentAbility to quickly acquire the skills to use Case Management and Laboratory Information Management software programDemonstrated ability in building and maintaining client relationshipsStrong verbal and written communication skillsEffective time management skills to manage priorities and meet client requirements and timeframesSupport and encourage continuous improvementProven ability to multi-task and work in challenging environmentsAbility to work as part of a team or work autonomously if requiredStrong desire to help improve society.What you'll getAppropriate onboarding and training on the current forensic software productsWork closely with knowledgeable SME's within a values driven teamCollaboration and supportAutonomy and ownershipGenerous employee benefits, including professional development budget and birthdays offEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree in science or related field, from a recognised university or tertiary institutionNationally recognised Forensic/Science qualificationThree years relevant experience (Forensic Laboratory highly desirable)Background in biology (highly desirable)Must be an Australian Citizen, in Australia and permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours (Required)Ability to obtain and maintain security clearances e.g.
