MotorCycle Holdings Limited (ASX:MTO) is the leading motorcycle dealership and accessories group in Australia. Our core business consists of the ownership and operation of motorcycle dealerships, engaging in the sale of new motorcycles, used motorcycles, accessories and parts, finance, insurance and mechanical protection plans and servicing. We also import and distribute a range of motorcycles, off-road vehicles, parts, and accessories to retail customers throughout Australia and our own dealer network.
MTO holds franchises with all major motorcycle manufacturers in Australia. The Group has 45 outlets, 40 retail and 5 wholesale, operating from retail locations in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory, and New Zealand. As at 30 June 2024 we held an estimated 16% market share of new motorcycle sales nationally (by number of motorcycles sold) and have approx. 1000 staff located across Australia and New Zealand.
As Senior Corporate Accountant you will have responsibility for direct tax, corporate consolidation, and financial reporting. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a structured financial environment. Experience in an ASX-listed company and Big 4 accounting firms is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Accounting & Consolidation
1. Calculate and post monthly intercompany and intracompany consolidation entries.
2. Maintain and review the corporate P&L and ensure correct allocation of assets and liabilities.
3. Manage lease accounting (AASB 16), hedge accounting (AASB 9), and share-based payments (AASB 2).
4. Consolidate tax and fixed asset registers across business units.
5. Prepare monthly consolidated financial reports and interim/annual financial statements.
6. Lead preparation of Appendix 4D & Appendix 4E reports.
Tax Compliance
1. Calculate monthly income tax provisions and maintain deferred tax accounts.
2. Prepare annual income tax returns for external review.
3. Review and lodge BAS, payroll tax returns, and workers’ compensation declarations.
4. Support tax planning and compliance.
Audit & Compliance
1. Conduct internal audits as required.
2. Support the planning and coordination of external audits.
3. Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and financial regulations.
About You
1. Big 4 background with strong technical expertise in corporate accounting and tax.
2. Experience in an ASX-listed company is highly desirable.
3. High proficiency in AASB standards, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
4. Highly detail-oriented with a microscopic focus on accuracy.
5. Hands-on financial work—this is not a managerial role.
6. Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics.
7. Professional qualification such as CPA or CA required.
