Immediate Start – 9 Month Fixed Term Contract
An experienced Accounting Manager with retail experience is essential to lead our Finance Team and focus on continuous improvement projects and internal stakeholder engagement across the broader business.
This role will see you bring your leadership and finance skills to the forefront with ownership of the financials for month-end, statutory reporting for year-end, and coordinating the interim and annual audit.
You will report to our General Manager of Finance and lead a team of 6, with 3 direct reports.
As an experienced Accounting Manager, you will be joining our business at a time of transformation and accelerated growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing Financial Statements:
In line with the month-end timetable, prepare accurate and timely financial statements that meet the needs of stakeholders.
* Year-End Statutory Reports:
Prepare year-end statutory reports in line with accounting standards and regulatory reporting requirements.
* Audit Coordination:
Liaise with external auditors to coordinate the year-end audit process and ensure its successful completion.
* Large-Scale Project Execution:
Partner with the wider business to execute large-scale optimisation projects that drive business growth and improvement.
* Financial Advice and Improvement:
Advise on financial practices and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager with:
* Fast-Paced Retail Environment:
Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment, partnering across divisions with complex and varied operations.
* Process Improvement Expertise:
Providing insightful ideas on process improvement and proven experience from an auditing background.
* Accounting Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and be a qualified accountant or in the process of obtaining (e.g. CA, CPA, or equivalent).
* Leadership Skills:
Strong team leadership skills and the ability to present ideas and findings clearly and confidently.
