Experience the rewards of making a difference in older people’s lives by showing compassion and providing high quality, safe care.The opportunityThe Education and Clinical Support Manager is a key leadership within the Quality, Safety and Innovation team and will play an integral role in the delivery of clinical education and training programs at Royal Freemasons.The Education and Clinical Support Manager will deliver high quality education and training to staff to promote skill and capability with a focus on consumer centred care ensuring high quality care is delivered in line with all legislative and organisational requirements.The ideal candidate will promote, and role model resident centered care and evidence based best practice to facilitate the organisations strategic plans to sustainably grow and enhance our clinical workforce. A key focus will be to ensure a high standard of clinical care, aligned with ACQSC Standards and legislation, is provided to every resident.Key responsibilitiesDevelop and review education resources to support key initiatives aligning with the new Aged Care Quality StandardsDeliver education and clinical guidance for all relevant staff to enable the development of evidence-based knowledge and performance skills, aligned with the employee’s scope of practice and targeted learning outcomesSupport accreditation preparedness by collaborating with the Quality Team to ensure all documentation and processes meet compliance requirementsEnsure programs and learning resources are current, regularly reviewed and maintained in partnership with subject matter experts, where applicableEngage in reflective practice to improve teaching and nursing practice outcomes, participating in the review of clinical policy and procedure developmentQualifications, knowledge and requirements required for the roleCurrent registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment (TAE40110) or willing to complete same (Highly desirable)Knowledge of relevant legislation including the new Aged Care Act 2025, Governing for Reform in Aged Care and the Support at Home program.Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills; and demonstrated experience in working with both management and staff on staff educational and development requirements.Demonstrated experience in assessing, monitoring and evaluating learning and development needs and requirements of the clinical workforce.Other requirementsA current, full drivers licence for the State of Victoria which is appropriate for the type of vehicle being driven and comply with any restrictions on their licence (e.g. wearing glasses).It is a mandatory requirement when working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Clearance or National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Clearance, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of this role.All aged care workers are encouraged to be vaccinated against Covid-19 (3 vaccines) and receive the Flu-Vaccine.How to applyIf you want a career that is rewarding and makes the difference, then we want to hear from you!
