WeKare Disability Services is seeking to employ bright, enthusiastic, qualified support workers for clients in Launceston TAS. Ideally we require support workers who are experienced in supporting complex participants, specifically those with severe autism and language disorders. The ideal candidates should have: Experience working with participants with complex needs Ability to drive a manual car Understanding of behaviours of concern Strong listening and communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with all stakeholders, including participants' representatives and other professionals The positions will be casual with long hours as the client will require 24 hour care. A high level of competency, initiative, reliability and autonomy is required for this position. Mandatory Qualifications are required for this role: Cert III, IV in Disability or Aged Care Services National/International Police Check Working With Children Check NDIS Screening Check First Aid Certificate (incl. resuscitation) Valid Driver's License and Access to an insured vehicle Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination status NDIS Orientation training module certificate (free online @ ndis.gov.au) Covid - 19 Infection Control certificate (free online @ ndis.gov.au) The position requires the responsible delivery of a variety of support services such as community participation and access, monitoring behaviour and the administration of medication under some circumstances.
