About the Role: As a Mental Health Nurse Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of high-quality, safe mental health services. In this dynamic position, you'll have the opportunity to provide expert clinical nursing care and consultancy that drives the recovery and well-being of mental health consumers across diverse service settings—ranging from community outreach to acute and rehabilitation care. You will be recognized as a specialist in your area, with substantial autonomy and the ability to make impactful decisions that improve patient outcomes. Your expertise will be instrumental in leading nursing teams, guiding clinical practices, and ensuring that the highest standards of care are consistently met. In addition to offering direct clinical leadership, you will also oversee and lead innovative projects and programs designed to enhance service delivery and consumer experiences. About You: Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Holds a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing (or equivalent). Registered Nurse and or Midwife with at least 3 years post-registration experience. Demonstrated expertise in mental health nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards. Demonstrated experience in the supervision and leadership of multidisciplinary staff, student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses and/or midwives. Experience working with Aboriginal consumers.
