The Position
Haematology Advanced Trainee position, a 12-month CJCT-accredited role.
You will rotate between two facilities, gaining extensive experience in haematology within a regional cancer centre.
This advanced trainee position offers valuable experience managing a broad range of haematologic conditions in a rural-regional setting, with direct supervision by a consultant.
The Location
The largest centre in Western Victoria and the state's fastest growing inland city.
Uniquely located within easy access to Melbourne, Geelong, Bendigo and the Western district, Ballarat is blessed with some of Australia's most significant heritage buildings and natural landscapes.
The Facility
The haematology service employs six visiting haematologists, supported by a junior team of one advanced trainee, one basic physician trainee, and one Hospital Medical Officer.
The team is involved in outpatient clinics, ward consults, and after-hours and weekend coverage.
The unit also offers dynamic clinical trials and research opportunities.
The Requirements Registration as a legally qualified medical practitioner with AHPRAEligibility for registration with the RACP for Advanced Training (BPT may be considered for the role)Detailed knowledge of the investigation and management of acute and chronic general medical conditionsHow to Apply
