The Role
Reporting directly to the Stadium Venue Manager, the Duty Manager ’s primary responsibility is to oversee the safety, evacuation and operation of the entire facility and to direct the day-to-day operation of the facility’s programs and services, as well as customer service staff.
We are hiring on a permanent part time and casual basis. Your application cover letter should indicate your availability and whether you are interested in a part time or casual role.
Skills & Attributes:
1. Maintain compliance with all safe work methods and risk management procedures by routinely checking all areas of the facility
2. Coordinate facility bookings and maintain positive relationship with all internal and external stakeholder
3. Perform day to day tasks to ensure the venue operates safely and effectively.
4. Coordinate and deliver programs to the local community and user groups
5. Coordination and managing all internal sporting competitions
6. Be responsible for venue opening and closing tasks including venue presentation
7. Leading and direction of program and cleaning personnel
8. Coordinating all maintenance items with contract stakeholder and preferred suppliers
9. Maintain all program equipment in safe working order
10. Coordinate use of coaches and referees to optimise the programs and competitions
ESSENTIAL:
11. Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
12. Current CPR Certificate
13. Police Check
14. Current Working with Children Check or equivalent
15. Ability to establish community connections with groups in the local area
16. Strong customer service background
17. Knowledge of leisure-based programs
18. Knowledge of local council plans to meet the needs of the community
19. Knowledge of Sports TG or similar platforms
20. Must have evening and weekend work availability. Dry site (no aquatics)
DESIRABLE:
21. Competent ability with Microsoft Office and prior experience/knowledge of sales processes
22. Basketball and/or Futsal experience/referee qualifications will be highly regarded
23. Experience working with multicultural individuals and groups
24. Experience with sporting competitions and events
The Venue
An exciting opportunity exists to manage Moorabool Shire Council's newly built 4-court indoor sports stadium. This will enable existing sports to expand and ensure a greater number of residents can participate in various levels of competition.
The stadium features:
25. Four indoor highball courts
26. 340 seat stadium with stand-alone change rooms
27. Entry, reception, kiosk, office and administration areas
28. 2 Multi-purpose / program spaces
29. A function room with kitchenette
30. Car parking with 118 spaces
The stadium is part of a three stage development that consists of the following:
31. Stage 1: indoor sports stadium (under construction - funded by the Victorian Government and Council)
32. Stage 2: regional bowls and community hub (funded - Victorian Government and Council)
33. Stage 3: indoor pool complex (advocacy for funding by the Australian Government underway - Victorian Government and Council funding committed).
